but the Lord determins his steps"

The following was written at 0208hrs. was too lazy to switch on my lappie after i've shut it down.
[I know i should turn in already but i just couldnt fall asleep. i'm currently using my Dad's phone (N6610i) cos my samsung's still at the service centre. was browsing through his phone and i chance upon his photo gallery. Saw a few familiar shots (some may say act cute =p) of my bro and i. As i appraoch the end of the folder, i saw a few pics that actually made me even more awake. those pics may not mean anything to many but it sure did melt my heart. my daddy actually took snap shots of the birthday card my bro and i made for him on his birthday this year. i was lost for words. i wanted to just put the phone aside and try to sleep as it was already getting late, but i couldnt. i reach for a pen and paper to pen this down before i totally forget about it when i wake up in the morning. after pening it down, i thought i could sleep, and again, i couldnt. i reached for my phone send my parents a SMS wishing them goodnight and ending it of with an "I Love You".
i know this may sound weird to many of us especially when we're Asians. but as what my presentation later on is about, words of affirmation bridges generation gap. what is hindering us from using these words anyway? pride? culture? whatever the reason, i pray that you will overcome them, and perhaps drop your parents an SMS saying how much they mean to you cos you have no idea how much they love you and how as sms will make their day all so beautiful.]
Life is definitely not all about school and work. Jesus didnt die for school or work. He died for YOU, (yes you!) and me :) Life is also about the people, the lives around you. Life is fragile, say what you need to before it's too late. God bless :)
Life's true beginning is there at the cross where He died.

visited a primary school teacher today. it's been about a year or perhaps more than a year since i last took time off to visit her. she's one teacher whom i really respect. inspired and impacted my life in more ways than i can remember. i thank God for placing her in my life. how my path crossed with hers. how i landed up in class 6B instead of 6A. in fact, i visited her in October last year but the clerk told me that she's very sick and is on medical leave. went again earlier this year but she wasnt around. apparently she went out for a meeting. i'm glad to see her today. she told me that she was struck by cancer late last year. after the doc broke the news to my teacher, the impact wasnt full blown until when she was at the taxi stand at the hospital. the immediate question was, "Why Me??!!".
life is fragile, aint it? you will never know when you will be hit by a car or when you'll be struck by a deadly disease. before you know it, you'll be standing in front of your creator. i guess if i were to go now, i'll leave with many regrets. many. there are many things i wanna do but not done, many words unsaid. how easy is it to say "live your everyday as if it's the last day you have on earth". if it's my last day on earth, i definitely would NOT want to spend my time in a lecture theater, trying to comprehend the concept of Einstein's theory of relativity or worst still, computer programming. what is the value of these knowlege of these concepts anyway?
foreigner on earth.....i wanna go Home. but yet, i'm just not ready to go, not yet at least. but is it really for me to decide when it's time for me to go?
to those who question what their purpose is on earth, the answer lies with your creator. it's the same concept as... the "inventor" knows exactly the purpose for his "invention". seek Him and you WILL find the answer.
"Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be open unto you." :)

I've got a new chair in my room! other than it being a little too slippery when one sits on it, it's definitely much more comfy than the previous one!

This week's finally over. Lord, thank You for sustaining me. thank You for helping me see how real you are.
Your smile worth more than everything else :)
